Moving Among Us

16/05/08 @ 21:20

Who’s that moving there among us?
Spirit, teacher, healer, friend.
Here where deep sounds shake our hearts,
We are joined by those who’ve walked before.
Lead us, lead us,
Take our hands and lead us.

When we alter consciousness, we invite new energies into our lives. Through resonance, we become aligned with feelings and spirits that we are not usually aware of. This is an opportunity for growth, because we must become something new in order to change. The new idea, the new feeling, the new perception. This is our journey, our great adventure.

Transitioning

“Please keep your seatbelts fastened until we come to a complete standstill.”

Making transitions, or slowing down to a more natural pace, can certainly bring some discomfort. Like when we apply brakes strongly and suddenly when driving our cars. But once the jerk of being thrown forwards is out of the way, we can feel such relief. Perhaps the best way is to be as alert as we can so that our transitions are as smooth as possible. And when we can’t, then just remember that “this too shall pass”.

What Lurks Beneath

8/05/08 @ 14:14

Look under the water,
A newt in hot pursuit!

It’s really amazing what you can see going on beneath the surface of ponds and rivers. There is life going on under there even when we can’t see - when the water is dark and murky, or when it is frozen. For people as well, there is much going on underneath. The Waters are often thought of as primal, old and wild energies, and you may notice that there are waterholes around that are fenced in for our “safety”, to stop anyone falling into such wildness. If you’re feeling brave, and feeling ready for a new challenge and a great reward, start looking into your own wild places. See what lurks beneath the surface of who you think you are. And when the time comes - take the plunge!

Underground, Overground….

7/05/08 @ 22:57

Roots as big as crown,
Don’t forget, don’t forget;
Deep under the ground,
Get them wet, get them wet.

It is tempting to look out at a natural scene and simply see what is presented to you, what is visible and obvious on the surface. But take the time to consider that for every plant and tree above ground there is a root system below ground, anchoring, supporting, and drawing up nourishment. Now look again. Feel into the ground below, into the space beneath. We too have these hidden places, there below the surface. Feel into them now and then. We are not what we appear to be.

Rich Tapestry

4/05/08 @ 19:32

Though bones may break and crumble into dust,
My Spirit will remain.
Once lived, cannot be unlived,
Life never drops a thread.

Our lives are drawn together in many ways, and we cannot guess at how one moment will impact the next, or how one action, or even thought, may affect another. We can aim to be this, or be that, but ultimately it does not matter. Whether we do what is right or what is wrong, or what is our best or what is our worst, it will all be weaved into the fabric of Creation. Nothing is excluded, and nothing is so damaged that it cannot be used and drawn into the Great Tapestry of Life.

Thunder

26/04/08 @ 14:01
Rumble of the Heavens,
Shake us up!

When there’s a storm going on, there is no way we can forget how powerful Nature is. Sometimes we need this show of power, to remind us to wake up to what’s really going on. It can be easy to coast along, to waste time, to wallow in mediocrity. Let the sound of thunder be your wake up call. Let it shake you up and alert you to life right now.

The River Flowing

18/04/08 @ 17:38
You are always in the river of your life,
Stop resisting and flow!

Enough said I think.
