Early Evening, 7th October 2004: After some painstaking effort, I finally got hold of a capable paint package to edit images with (thanks Paulo!). I'll be putting that to use soon, but who knows how? In other news, I spied a googlebot visiting the site earlier in the week, so perhaps Questor & Viagron will be in a search engine near you shortly. Exciting stuff. Time now for ISSUE 23.
Late Morning, 5th October 2004: I've re-coded the Links page a little for easier updating. With it, I've put on a few more links, my initial attempt of having just two was pathetic. I'll be adding more here and there, but I'll let you know about that. I got an early start on things today, I've got so much more free time now that I've stopped obsessing over that new site revamp. And now, the exciting conclusion to the two-part story, here's ISSUE 22.
Mid-Evening, 3rd October 2004: Right, I hope this works. I've decided to cut short my ultra web-site revamp because it completely got away from me why I was supposed to be php'ing it in the first place: to make it easier for me to update! To that end, I've put on a more or less identical site (from the viwer's point of view), but with php code in it so that all I need to do is upload the issue image, and put in a line of text for the issue details, and one for the news, and that's it, update complete. Easy. Please let me know if there are any bugs in the site, I appreciate your input. In other news, it is quite possible that in my n00bness I failed to click the "upload" button in my ftp software two days ago, and so the new issue wasn't there when it was supposed to be. My apologies. It was on by yesterday evening at least. And so, on with ISSUE 21!
Late Evening, 1st October 2004: Phew, Issue 20 already? Who'd have thought it would have come this far? The site revamp is coming along, I'm having ever increasing problems with getting it to look good in Internet Explorer though. Why do Microsoft insist on creating their own standards which mess everyone else's up? So, there'll be different styles, different versions, hopefully loading the most suitable for your browser. So, all those who want the best of the site, download Mozilla Firefox soon! Ahhhh... in the spirit of Peter Gabriel: Life carries on, and on, and on, and on.... ISSUE 20.
Early Evening, 29th September 2004: I've been working hard on the php since the last issue. I'm really starting to get somewhere with it now. I am hoping for it to be done and uploaded in the near future. Mad At Gravity have been on my headphones of late.. Let it Buuurrrr-herrrn! Here's ISSUE 19.
Mid-Evening, 27th September 2004: Well, here I am with another issue. I'm really pleased with myself for keeping it going at one every other day since the site was launched. Paulo flew home today, we had a great time, it was cool seeing him. Now, with my days open, I'll be having php'ing the site as my priority. I really want it done and finished so I can add issues more easily. I also think most of the issues need darkening for better viewing, so I'll be touching those up digitally at some stage. Today is the last day of the Conversations With God Week, I hope you've enjoyed it. Now, here's ISSUE 18.
Late Evening, 25th September 2004: OK! Bit later in the day today. Paulo has flown over for the long weekend [and boy are his arms tired - Paulo].. Sorry, he begged me to put that in. I saw Paulo's guest issue on the downstairs computer today, and realized that it was far too faint to be readable. I use the laptop usually, so with its weird TFT nature it really didn't look as bad it must have looked to most of you. So, I've re-scanned, hopefully it's a bit better, but I'll sort out a paint program better than MS Paint and alter the colours digitally to get it darker a little later on. Monday's issue will probably be late in the day too as I'm taking Paulo to the airport in the afternoon. He's been busying himself drawing more guest issues while I was working on today's, so those'll be upcoming. Yep, think that's all for today now then. Off to watch 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon'. Here's ISSUE 17.
Late Morning, 23rd September 2004: Conversations With God Week continues as we find out more about our elusive co-conspirator. There's also the second ever guest issue today, created and drawn by my Dutch friend, Paulo. I've expanded the archive section a bit, just a bit of minor re-organising. As the comics evolve, so does the site. The php work is continuing, slowly but surely. Oh, and I added the site to a few of the major search engines, though it'll probably be a few weeks before it gets picked up. And now, ISSUE 16.
Mid-Morning, 21st September 2004: As promised, Conversations With God Week has begun! It's all getting a bit philosophical ;). Here's the first issue of the series, ISSUE 15. Enjoy.
Early Morning, 19th September 2004: Most of the house is sleeping. Not being much of a hardcore gamer compared to the others, I went to sleep reasonably early, and so have the bonus of feeling well rested and having some time to myself earlier this morning. I bought a new mouse yesterday, such a tiny lightweight thing, with a flashing neon light on it. It's really comfortable for me to use, and it was quite cheap. I'm really pleased with it. Next week will be "Conversations With God" Week, where you'll be able to get to know the God character a little better, and some of what this particular version of God has to say about some of the major life issues. In preparation for that, here's today's issue: ISSUE 14.
